The Bitter Taste Of Reality......

It's been a busy year. So, with that said, here's my message to those whom I've made so much effort to piss off and have tried to shed the light of truth on for so damn long:

Take that you dirty neo-Zionist sons-of-bitches! You've managed to hide behind your self-serving, manipulative guilt tactics since the Nakba but you're about to find out what happens when liars, cheats, thieves, murderers and just plain fucking bastards get what they have coming to them! How long did you think it was going be before you were unmasked in front of the eyes of the world and exposed for what you are? Forever? Your reign of tyranny is oh so tantilizingly close to reaching its inevitable sorry end.

The Palestinian people are finally letting you reveal your true nature by not retaliating to the brutish bullying and oppression, exposing you for the charlatans you are. Did you think that if you continually persisted in making their lives a living hell, just as you have for the last 60+ years, they'd start suicide bombing and firing the heavy artillery at you again? Then you could bring out that tired old refrain "Poor Israel!" and have the world weeping for you? Obviously they're a lot smarter than you are. Pretty hard to whine about being the victim when you arrogantly continue to behave like a pack of rabid Nazis without even having the brains to try to hide it, isn't it. The world is turning against you all of a sudden, without a shot being fired from the side of those you've tried so hard to destroy! That's how it's done you pricks, I hope you choke on the taste of bitter reality.

There, I feel better now. I despise with every fibre of my being those who promote and feed off hate, no matter who or what they are and I can honestly say that I have never been one of them. It's been a long haul, sometimes frustrating, occasionally frightening, and more often than not rewarding. I've "met" some amazingly creative, talented, brave, inspiring people and give them my thanks and appreciation. I've also had interaction with some outright nut-jobs, a few quacks, racists of from all tribes, sheeples, haters and even one who suggested I was better off dead. Thank you all for showing me the best and the worst that the human race has to offer. All in all I think the good outweighs the bad.

Just for you, Raphael. :)

Rage And What To Do With It............

Apparently I can't post on Facebook this evening and as anyone who actually reads this blog knows, I like to post lately. :D So there's more than one way to skin a cat and here I am back at blogger.

It's good to know there are so many people out there in the world who are willing to throw themselves onto the gears of the machine. Most of the people on my favourites list, and a whole lot of people on facebook. :D Lot more than 4,000. That's all I wanted to say.:) ♥ ♥ ♥

Chanukah Sameach.....

Chanukah Sameach to my Jewish friends. May the true lessons of Chanukah be learned now by all who claim to believe, and then lived by on a daily basis. Tolerance, peace, and being the light which pierces the darkness of tyranny and persecution is in your hands.

It all began when Antiochus IV ordered Jews—under penalty of death—to abandon their religion. He appointed Hellenists as High Priest in Jerusalem, plundered the Temple treasury to pay his debts, and built a fortified Greek polis in Jerusalem. Faced with a choice of apostasy or rebellion, the Jews chose to rebel. The revolt achieved rapid success, led by the charismatic and brilliant Maccabee clan. At the end of the year 164 BCE the first Chanukah was celebrated and the Temple in Jerusalem purified.

“What is Chanukah?” asks the Talmud. “…Eight days…during which eulogies are not made and fasting is not permitted.” The Greeks had defiled all of the Temple oil. Only one jar was left, sufficient to burn for one day. But a miracle occurred. The oil burned for eight days! Jewish sages declared these eight days for rejoicing and lighting of Chanukah lights at the entrance to each Jewish home to publicize the miracle.

To remember the oil of the original miracle, oil is used until today for lighting menorahs and cooking special holiday foods. Although the military victory over Greece was itself miraculous and celebrated, Jewish autonomy was short-lived. The Romans expelled or killed most of the Jewish nation by the year 70 AD, leaving only a small population. However Chanukah, celebrating freedom of religious belief and practice, remains a vibrant holiday more than 20 centuries after the fall of Greece. Chanukah is truly joyous because it symbolizes the entire struggle for spiritual freedom, the light which pierced the darkness of tyranny and persecution.

As Jews and our friends light the Chanukah menorah this year, we pray for the light of tolerance, religious freedom, and peace to spread across the world.

Happy Holidays, Everyone and Happy Birthday, Kevin.....

The following is taken from the winter newsletter I received this morning from my son's school:

On behalf of the entire staff at A L Fortune Secondary, I would like to wish you a very happy, safe and relaxing holiday.

Paul Harvey, known for the famous “...And Now You Know The Rest Of The Story” editorials wrote the following lines that I thought would be appropriate to share…

We tried so hard to make things better for our kids that we made them worse. For my grandchildren, I'd like better. I'd really like for them to know about hand me down clothes and homemade ice cream and leftover meat loaf sandwiches. I really would.

I hope you learn humility by being humiliated, and that you learn honesty by being cheated. I hope you learn to make your own bed and mow the lawn and wash the car. And I really hope nobody gives you a brand new car when you are sixteen. It will be good if at least one time you can see puppies born and your old dog put to sleep.

When you want to see a movie and your little brother/sister wants to tag along, I hope you'll let him/her. I hope you have to walk uphill to school with your friends and that you live in a town where you can do it safely. On rainy days when you have to catch a ride, I hope you don't ask your driver to drop you two blocks away so you won't be seen riding with someone as uncool as your Mom.

If you want a slingshot, I hope your Dad teaches you how to make one instead of buying one. I hope you learn to dig in the dirt and read books. When you learn to use computers, I hope you also learn to add and subtract in your head.

I hope you get teased by your friends when you have your first crush on a boy/girl, and when you talk back to your mother that you learn what ivory soap tastes like. May you skin your knee climbing a mountain, burn your hand on a stove and stick your tongue on a frozen flagpole. I sure hope you make time to sit on a porch with your Grandma/Grandpa and go fishing with your Uncle.

May you feel sorrow at a funeral and joy during the holidays. I hope your mother punishes you when you throw a baseball through your neighbour's window and that she hugs you and kisses you when you give her a plaster mold of your hand.

These things I wish for you - tough times and disappointment, hard work and happiness. To me, it's the only way to appreciate life.

Mr. Abbas El Gazzar

May peace and joy be upon us. Thank-you and love to all my family and friends.

For you, son:
