I discovered blogging several years ago and was drawn to it as a means of expressing myself in a time when I felt humanity had collectively gone mad.
I've called the President of The United States every foul name in the book and I've shown my complete and utter contempt for my own Prime Minister. I've been in the middle of some righteous flame wars with political and religious extremists of all ilks, and I've freely expressed my outrage over unjust actions. I've laughed and cried, and I've met some amazing people from all walks of life and from all over the world, along the way.
As a blogger, I'm asking you to take a moment to consider this and to please sign the petition. He's one of our own, a human being with the same basic rights as laid down in the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, and he's also a blogger.
I feel as bloggers, if we allow this atrocity to go unchallenged then perhaps all of us who have criticized our leaders deserve the same fate.
Peace,
Fiona

hope your weekend was full of smiles!!
Girlfriend, I'm so ancient and near-sighted I was hunting all over for the link. I finally found it (not your fault, I need bifocals) and am ordering a T-shirt to help the cause.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
Fiona, where are you? I'm missing you. Hope all is well.
