People in their quiet, dignified way are still resisting in Burma. As one shopkeeper said: "If we stop now, we will get the government that we deserve.". They have my admiration and I wonder what would happen in this world if we were all to suddenly develop half the courage they possess, and stand against injustice, oppression and tyranny. That'd be a sight to see, wouldn't it. What would the bastards do? Arrest or kill all of us?
Meanwhile in Pakistan, I never thought I'd support lawyers of all people, but these have big ones.
