No one's paying attention, yet again, as everyone's obsessed with winning gold in a country which continues to perpetrate human rights abuses on a scale that should make George Bush cringe. Meanwhile, in Georgia, as the big red line is drawn in the sand.... . Yes folks, you're not imagining it, those really are Russian tanks and troops.
It would be a rather good idea to make yourself familiar with this small nation, and who's sticky little oily fingers are involved in it (America, Iran, Russia, ect, ect....). If you're stupid or apathetic enough not to bother, then you're in for a very rude awakening.
You think what's happened in the world over the past 10 years or so has been bad and the economy sucks, believe me, you haven't seen anything yet. Russia's been after this little chunk of prime real estate and Black Sea coastline since the fall of the Soviet Union. In case you didn't notice, it's also the gateway to the Middle East through the Caucasus. Duhhhhh.....
