- I'm pretty ordinary in the grand scheme of things, though some may claim differently depending on who you talk to. I don't like hypocrites, liars, snakes or grapefruit.

well, of course we will. the same foxes in congress are in charge of the hen house. but look at it this way- at least we have control over who gets nominated to the federal judiciary system. that's way important. i tend towards the cynical so i think change will be slow- but it will come. global climate change stops for no one.
I'm just hoping that all politicians concerned, both left and right, have learned a valuable lesson in all of this: If you piss off the populace too much, you will be dramatically removed.
The only problem is, as we've seen with the current administration, an awful lot of damage can be done in 4 years, and twice as much in 8. As you pointed out, global warming waits for no one and this issue, among others needs to be addressed immediately. My current government has an abysmal record in this area, but Harper seems to wait for instructions from the White House before making any commitments to global issues. Therefore I hope Obama gives him an earful!
