- I'm pretty ordinary in the grand scheme of things, though some may claim differently depending on who you talk to. I don't like hypocrites, liars, snakes or grapefruit.

Tom said his song "is not likely to advance but a few thousand NARAS voting members will have a chance to listen while they vote."
It made the first round, however. He's a really nice guy and I'm excited for him.
I think it's just great that the committee would even consider a song like "Impeach" or an artist like Tom. Maybe it's an indication that freedom of speech isn't dead in America, after all.
More important here is Tom's work. That is, to honor those that gave so much. As a Veteran, I realized that no matter what, the bottom line is that I was willing to put myself on the line for my country. This needs to be honored in people. Not how they thought of the war or whether it was a just cause, but whether they were willing to give it all in case it was.
Tom being a Veteran himself make his words all the more poignant, at least for me. Since I found his music through Marty's blog, I've been listening to a lot of it on YouTube, and my favorite is VFP. Now, if I can just find the C.D. up here, I'm going to buy it!
